The Brighter Futures Team is a collaboration that focuses on diverse health issues in the community. Brighter Futures has a strong focus on family health working with community and health systems to enhance and integrate a new and innovative evidence-based home visiting model. This team also works with similar partners to decrease the rates of STI’s/STD’s in Wood County among adolescents and young adults.
Mission: Achieving optimal health of youth and families by improving health systems, providing education, and strengthening partnerships.
Focus on: Future implementation of family home visiting and decreasing STI’s/STD’s.

Implementing a evidence-based family home visiting model called, Parents as Teachers to enhance family health.
Get Yourself Tested (GYT) Campaign to increase STI/STD testing.
Exploring teen health programming through the Providers and Teens Communicating for Health (PATCH) program.
