The existence of safe housing, public transportation, education, access to nutritional and affordable foods, and opportunities to be physically active all impact our health.
The health of our communities is affected by unfairness in institutions and society. Just telling people to make healthy choices won't solve these problems. The programs listed below are designed to make the places where people live better for their health. Because we are working on improving behaviors and the environment around us, it can take many years to see the impacts from these changes.
