Youth Health

What is PATCH?

The Providers and Teens Communicating for Health (PATCH) Program is an innovative, youth-driven program working to improve adolescents' health and well-being across the nation. Wisconsin PATCH is made up of a collaboration of PATCH Sites from across the state and is part of the larger PATCH vision! PATCH works in communities across Wisconsin to educate, engage, and empower young people to take control of their own health. Improving adolescent health WITH youth FOR youth, because THEY are the experts. THEY are able to provide authentic insights into the concerns, ideas, and preferences of their generation. THEY can make a difference.

Meet the Teens!

Braeyah (she/her)

Hi! Iā€™m Braeyah! I am a junior at NHS and this is my second year in PATCH. In my free time, I enjoy music, traveling, and thrifting. You can probably find me planning future trips to different places around the world. I joined PATCH because I knew that it would be a great opportunity for me to voice my opinions and help others in my community at the same time.

Michelle (she/her)

Hi! I'm Michelle. I'm 17 and a junior at Nekoosa High School! One fun fact about me is probably that feminism and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community is near and dear to my heart and means the world to me. :)

Maggie (she/her)

Hi! My name is Maggie. I am a sophomore at Lincoln High School. A fun fact about me is that I like to crochet in my free time!

Niamh (she/her)

Hi! I am Niamh. I am a junior at Lincoln High School. In my free time I enjoy writing. I joined PATCH because I wanted to find my voice and have answers to my healthcare questions.
